21/01/2019 CAPTAIN VALERY/CHIEF ENGINEER ALEC

As you requested Aleksei & me have looked through draft drawings of Pelamis Project 888 attentively and we have next remarks/suggestions:

NAVIGATION BRIDGE DECK

     1.     Move Main Line Storage Section with Ace Machine behind Funnel as it is shown GA Drawing “Hoshin Maru 77” what I attached to this message.

     2.     Rescue boat is to be installed on port side between frames: 16-28 (approximately) as shown on pic. No.1

     3.     It is desirable,  if Surveyor will permit, to install Life Rafts on port side similar place/design as on Pelamis No.68 (see attached pic. No. 1 & photo No.6)

     4.     The guardrails on bridge wings should not protrude beyond the dimensions of the vessel. Therefore, it is necessary to make changes, as shown on pic. No. 1

     5.     If there will not be any changes on drawing what you sent to us (HULL 888 GA1.PDF) then Rescue Boat should be moved on port side as shown on photo No. 1

     6.     It is desirable that Bridge windows on STBD side have similar design as shown on photos No.4 & 5.

     7.     Toilet & Wash Room are to be separated on Bridge Navigation Deck

F’SLE DECK

     1.     Crew Mess Room & Main Line Storage sections are to be exchanged their places accordingly, in case M/Line storage section will be moved behind Funnel

     2.     To install/fit conveyors on Upper Deck Port side for transportation branch lines, bubbles buoys, bait & etc. from Fish/Main Deck to stern part of vessel as shown on photos No. 2 & 3

MAIN/UPPER DECK:

     1.     Please pay attention on Preparation Room Entrance Door on photo No.3. It has 2 sections to reduce heat exchange.

     2.     As for my opinion, four Blast Freezer Chambers will be enough and their design/plan, as well as Preparation & Working Rooms shown on Hoshin Maru No. 77 drawing is made better and more efficient.

     3.     Height in Preparation Room from floor/deck up to ceiling/Freon pipes should be not less than 1.9 metres.

ENGINE DEPARTMENT:

     1.     Provide/install Strainers  for all end users on inlet sea water pipelines after sea-gate valves of Sea Chests

     2.     Vessel must have ref compressors of sufficient capacity installed for simultaneous cooling of all cargo/fishing holds and freezer chambers for quick freezing of tuna to the required temperature at an outside temperature of water +30 degrees Celsius. Type of refrigerant used in Ref. system must meet the latest requirements of MARPOL.

     3.     Water desalinator osmosis type capacity at least 4.0-4.5 MT/Day is to be fitted

     4.     Design of Fuel Oil Filling System should be  Japanese style

     5.     Vessel’s equipment must comply with latest MARPOL requirements. (Oily Water Separator, Seawage Treatmant Plant & etc)

     6.     It is desirable that the design of double bottom fuel tanks was similar as on Hoshin Maru No. 77

     7.     To save Fuel Oil, extend Auxiliary Engines Lifetime provide, if it is possible, installation of autonomus Diesel-Generator sufficient power to run one Ref. compressor and other required vessel end-users while she stays/lays at berth/wharf/anchorage.
